- An important aspect of e-portfolios is Student Choice. It is up to you as the student and the artist to determine which artwork you choose to include in the e-portfolio. Some possible considerations include quality of the artwork (technique, concept, creativity, craft), its meaning and importance to you as an artist, and what you learned from the process.
- It is fine to include additional images, such as more than one image in a series, process images, or a photo of yourself.
TEXT
- Briefly introduce yourself.
- Describe the decisions you made in the creation of this artwork. Depending on the particular project, you could discuss decisions such as concept, subject, composition, materials, process and technique, etc.)
- Reflect. Another important aspect of e-portfolios is the opportunity to think deeply and make connections between experiences. For example, what did you learn from this project? Do you consider it successful? Why or why not? How does this relate to other artwork you've created or experiences (at the college or in your life outside of school)? Does this concept/process/technique have any potential future applications in your work?
Notes:
- This brief written reflection is required, as noted on the syllabus.
- I highly recommend that you save your text in a Word document prior to posting online in order to avoid any loss of text due to "technical difficulties." Writing in Word can be done outside of class, but posting to Weebly must happen in the Shop.
- This website will be published online, with unrestricted access. There are options for maintaining student privacy--these options were presented in class and students made their selections in writing.
- Students may only edit their own individual page. Please do not edit any other part of this website.
- All content must be appropriate for a classroom setting. The instructor may hide or delete content that is considered inappropriate.
